Soaked in vivid colour and deeply inspired by our mesmerising surroundings in Rajasthan, Hot Pink showcases the brilliance of traditional Indian techniques with an underlying element of joy.
Nested in the gardens of Narain Niwas Palace, we are surrounded by greenery and the delightful songs of chirping birds. Our guests have included many a roaming peacock. The occasional monkey too.
A profound love for Indian craftsmanship was the late Munnu Kasliwal’s (of The Gem Palace) motivation in creating Hot Pink in 2005. His globally acclaimed knowledge of design and his playful spirit is forever embedded what we do.
Indeed, Jaipur was founded as a city of art and culture, and that remains an important part of its identity. Working with local artisans and craftsmen is at the heart of our work, and we take great pride in collaborating with the creative minds in our city.
Hot Pink is a multi-designer store, and we proudly house brands that showcase the breadth of Indian workmanship. These include Abraham & Thakore, Kashmir Loom, Péro, Fuschia and Orange, and Rajesh Pratap Singh among others.
Since 2012, Hot Pink has evolved into Kalpana Kasliwal’s labour of love. Her penchant for combining traditional techniques with contemporary design has led us expand our own label. From luscious scarves and embroidered garments to iconic jutis and precious jewellery- everything we sell is uniquely handmade by expert craftspeople under her patronage.
Kalpana emphasizes, “colours provide a sense of happiness and joy, and a vibrant palette has the ability to heighten design”. We are delighted to share our richly coloured world with you.
